Coming Home to Safety: The Vicinity Safety Journey

Vicinity Safety Shop originated from a student startup project, Vicinity Safety, at Greenwich Vietnam (HCMC). The idea was conceived in March 2024 with the goal of creating an innovative startup with a mission to bring safety value to households in Vietnam.

This idea was initiated and proposed by Karina Nguyen (Khang Nguyen), an international student who returned from the US after finishing her studies in Texas. Through her volunteer activities in the US, Karina realized that the distribution of fire alarm devices to households could be promoted. After enrolling in a bachelor's program at her new university in Vietnam, Karina proposed the project and mobilized fellow students to join in its development.

The Opportunities and Challenges for Vicinity Safety

The journey of bringing value to the community also comes with challenges. Building an online platform is not easy, especially with no knowledge or experience in it. However, after a year of exploration and learning, we have successfully brought an online platform to life, helping to connect reputable products on the market to customers near and far.

The online store is the future, an innovative vision in the digital age, where our customers can shop safely, and with just a few clicks, the products they need will be automatically delivered. Furthermore, Vicinity Safety complies with information security regulations for customers. With our strength as a small store, customer information is less exposed to others, creating a secure and private shopping environment.

Although our product range is not diverse, they will always be the most reliable products on the market. We will continuously strive to find more new products to diversify our product lines for our customers.
